Energy Efficiency

Installing energy-efficient window blinds in Glasgow is an excellent way to keep energy costs low while blocking sunlight and minimizing heat loss.

The right window blinds in Glasgow will increase the R-value of your home, which measures resistance to heat flow. They will also help keep heat inside your home, preventing your HVAC system from having to work harder. This is a smart move that will also reduce your monthly bills.

One type of energy-efficient blind is the cellular shade. The honeycomb-like structure of the shade traps air between the layers, which makes it an excellent insulator.

Energy-efficient drapes are another great option. You can make them more energy-efficient by restricting the air flow at the top and bottom.

High Degrees of Light Control

We offer a variety of window treatments in Glasgow to help homeowners control natural light in their houses. Roller blinds and wooden shutters allow you to adjust the level of light filtering into a room. Our day and night roller blinds give you the option of letting in more daylight or blocking it out completely as needed. Sheer fabrics and sheer roller blinds are also available. These lightweight translucent materials allow some natural light to pass through while still providing privacy. With the right mix of opaque and sheer blinds or shutters, we can help find the perfect solution for modulating sunlight in any room of your Glasgow home.

Maintain Your Privacy

There are several different types of blinds available to order today which can give you the privacy you want. These include vertical blinds, Venetian blinds, Roman blinds, and pleated blinds.

Blackout Blinds in Glasgow are a good option if you want to block out light but not see through them.  If you want the most privacy, you can try vertical blinds in Glasgow that lean upwards to the ceiling or towards a blank wall in the room you don't use much.

Factors like larger window sizes, speciality shapes, custom finishes, and installation will increase costs for both blinds and curtains. To get an accurate estimate, it’s best to get quotes for your specific window measurements and treatment needs.

To determine the size of your window, you need to measure it in inches. To measure a window, you should use a steel measuring tape. Start at the top of the window casing and measure down to the top of the headrail. Take the narrowest measurement and round it up to the nearest eighth inch.

After you’ve measured the width, height, and length of your window, you can then measure the height of your window covering. This measurement is important because your window covering must cover the whole window. Choosing the correct height means that you will have enough width to cover the entire window and still have room to hang the blind.

There is no definitive answer to this question, as it will depend on your specific needs and goals. For example, if you are looking for a general measurement of the size of the window, then ‘Blind Size’ would be the more appropriate option. However, if you are looking for a more specific measurement of the size of the opening (i.e. the area that is not covered by the blinds), then ‘Recess Size’ would be a better choice. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide which measurement is more important for your purposes.

There are a few things you need to take into consideration when fitting blinds to UPVC windows, such as the size and shape of the window, the type of blinds you want to use, and the type of UPVC window you have.

  1. Measure the width of your UPVC window.
  2. Cut two pieces of string or twine to this measurement, plus an extra 20cm.
  3. Tie a loop in one end of each piece of string.
  4. Thread the other end of one string through the loop of the other.
  5. Pull the strings until the loops are flush against the UPVC window.
  6. Mark the string where it crosses in the middle.
  7. Cut the string at this point.
  8. Take one of the resulting string loops and tie a knot in the end.
  9. Repeat steps 6-8 with the other string.
  10. Thread the string loops through the holes in the brackets of your blind.
  11. Tie the string loops to the cord cleats provided with your blind.

Fitting roller blinds outside a recess is relatively easy, but there are a few things you need to consider. The most important thing is to ensure that the blinds are the correct size for the window. If they are too big or too small, they may not look appealing and will not function properly.

The next thing to consider is the type of Glasgow roller blinds you want to use, such as blackout blinds. Blackout roller blinds are great for bedrooms and other rooms where you want to block out all light.

Once you have decided on the type of roller blinds you want, measure the width and height of the window. Then, add an extra 3-5 cm to each measurement to allow for the brackets that will hold the blinds in place. To install the brackets, simply screw them into the wall at the correct height and width. When fitting roller blinds outside recess, you will want to ensure that the brackets are correctly installed and secure, and you may want to consider using a blind with a chain or cord guide to keep the cords away from the window.

Finally, hang the roller blinds on the brackets and adjust the cord until the blinds are at the desired height. That’s it! You’ve successfully installed Glasgow roller blinds outside a recess.

There are a few things to remember when positioning blinds in a recess. The first is the depth of the recess. The deeper the recess, the further the blinds will need to be positioned to allow full coverage. The second is the width of the window. The wider the window, the further the blinds will need to be positioned to achieve full coverage. Finally, keep in mind the height of the window. The higher the window, the higher the blinds will need to be positioned to maintain privacy.

You’ll want to ensure that the blinds are high enough so that they’re not in the way when you open and close the window. Second, you’ll want to make sure that the blinds are centred in the recess so that they look symmetrical. Finally, you’ll want to make sure that the cords are not hanging down in front of the window so that they’re not a tripping hazard.

There are a few steps to follow when fitting Glasgow blinds in a window. For starters, You must measure the height of the window to ensure that there are enough space for the blinds to block the light and give you enough privacy. Measuring will ensure you have the correct width and height for your blinds. Blind fitters recommend to measure the width between the side jambs and the bottom sill. Remember to record this measurement to the nearest 1/8 inch.

Depending on the type of blinds you’re installing, you can either mount them inside the window frame or outside the frame. When mounting blinds in a window, make sure that the brackets are flush with the window frame. You can also use a leveller or a tape measure to align additional support brackets, if necessary.

Next, attach the support brackets to the wall. If you’re installing heavy blinds, you may need to secure them to a stud behind drywall with the included fasteners. Then, fit the upper rail into the brackets and hang the vanes. Most blinds clip into place when you apply pressure.
